Mangalore, 27 July 2022: A dynamic 3-day media skills and training workshop convened at Sandesha, Mangalore, from 25 to 27 July 2022, welcoming three representatives from each of Karnataka’s dioceses. The workshop witnessed the expertise of three distinguished specialists, Fr. Sudeep Paul, Prof. Nandagopal, and Mr. ChidambaraBaikampady, who conducted insightful media skills training sessions over the course of three days.


Fr. Sudeep Paul delved into an array of topics, including the foundations of journalism and honing writing skills for news articles, editorial pieces, features, reviews, and diary entries. Participants were equipped with the necessary tools to excel in diverse writing styles and genres.
Prof. Nandagopal took charge of sharpening participants’ abilities in drafting compelling press releases, crafting opinion pieces, scriptwriting, newsletter preparation and designing, and efficient social media management. The training empowered attendees to effectively communicate through various media platforms.


Mr. ChidambaraBaikampady shared valuable insights on media management, offering valuable guidance on engaging with journalists and structuring impactful media releases. Participants gained proficiency in navigating media interactions with confidence and professionalism.
The course culminated with the issuance of participation certificates to each attendee, acknowledging their dedication to the program. Additionally, outstanding writers of blogs and news articles were recognized with special certificates, commending their exceptional skills.
A total of 35 students reaped the benefits of this enriching program, leaving the workshop empowered with enhanced media skills and well-equipped to engage effectively in the world of communications. The workshop’s comprehensive curriculum and the expertise of the trainers were lauded by all participants, ensuring the continued success of future media endeavors.
